This site was initially inspired upon finding several lost 3/4 inch video tapes depicting neurosurgical procedures that my father made in the 1970s. A collaboration with Mercy Hospital in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, where he practiced for 16 years, the videos were produced as educational tools for fellow physicians, medical students and the general public. Though they were filmed on an older format, after some sharpening, color work and conversions, they are now able to be viewed online as digital files.
Over time, I’ve added more content to the site: my father’s many scientific publications, several photographs and his books of poetry. The site remains a work in progress and I add items as time permits.
